Smiley is a seasoned Nonprofit Advancement Strategist, renowned for her expertise as the Founder & CEO of Stillborn And Infant Loss Support (SAILS), a Maryland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing crucial support to families navigating the complexities of stillbirth and infant loss. With over two decades of experience in the nonprofit industry, Sadija has served in various capacities, both in management and direct service, earning accolades for her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Recognized for her exceptional contributions to both the community and the nonprofit sector, Sadija has been honored by esteemed organizations such as Multiplying Good with the One in a Million Award, acknowledging her dedication to service as a solution to societal challenges. She has also been distinguished as one of Prince George’s County Social Innovation Fund's Forty under 40 for her outstanding public service, and recognized by the Leadership Center for Excellence for her exemplary community leadership.

Driven by her passion for empowering aspiring nonprofit founders, Sadija leverages her business acumen and compassionate heart to equip them with the tools needed to pursue their missions with confidence and integrity. Her clarity of thought and strategic approach enable her to cut through complexities and address the core needs of organizations.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sadija finds joy in staying active, exploring new destinations through travel, and reconnecting with nature outdoors. She cherishes her role as a proud mother to three beautiful daughters, one of whom watches over from heaven while two thrive on earth. Sadija is an alumna of West Virginia State University, an HBCU, where she began her journey, and holds an MBA from Strayer University. Originally from West Philadelphia, she continues to carry her roots proudly as she makes a meaningful impact in the lives of others
