Overview

Take a look at the intricate patterns and structures of snowflakes and learn about how they are formed at the EE Learning Centers!

Stop by the Penn & Fountain Learning Centers to learn all about snowflakes with us! Together we will explore how snowflakes are formed, observe ice crystals, conduct an experiment, and have fun crafting!

Also come learn about the water and land ecology at the park during our learning center open hours! No registration required.

  • The Penn Learning Center (marked as “Education Center” on the map) is located on the Oystercatcher trail, accessible from the Penn parking lot (1750 Granville Payne Ave). It’s about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot.
  • The Fountain Learning Center (marked as “Education Center” on the map) ) is located on the Fountain Ring Drive trail, accessible from the Fountain parking lot (950 Fountain Ave). It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the parking lot.

This program is designed for anyone 5 years old and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This program will take place entirely outside. There will be no indoor space. Please dress accordingly.
