Sniffing is the New Swiping

The Scent of Connection and BA Curating are thrilled to welcome you to our dating event starting at 19:30 at Corner Café New Cross!

We’re bringing together Scent of Connection, a innovative project redefining modern dating through scent and BA Curating, a group of emerging curators from Goldsmith’s University exploring modern love and intimacy through an upcoming exhibition.

This event is part of the public programme of the exhibition Intimacy: The Paradox of Contemporary Connections

Together, we’re creating a space for authentic, sensory-based encounters that challenge the superficiality of swiping and screen-based interactions.

By blending algorithmic technology with real-world interaction, Sniffing is the New Swiping is an event where people can connect on a more sensory and authentic level. Join us in this unique experience designed for those looking to break free from the constraints of digital dating and rediscover the human element of attraction.

Ticket sales close on the 2nd of May as it takes two week to process registration.

Tickets are £15 and include a drink

How it works:

1. You buy a ticket, then complete your consent & love interest form sent to you via email.
2. We send you a scent collecting patch in the post (price included in ticket)
3. You add to the patch your sweat, perfumes & toiletries to create your own signature scent. Make sure to bring this along on the night!
4. On arrival, we'll add your scent into our board and you & your signature scent will be assigned a number.
5. When using the board, you mark with provided stickers which scents you're drawn to, and we will contact you post-event with your matches.

There is a small step in the venue but a ramp is available upon request. Please specify any acessibility needs when purchasing your ticket.

• Tickets are non-refundable
• Tickets are for those who wish to participate in scent matching experience only.
• Due to the nature of the event, we cannot guarantee a match. Although we are a dating based event, there will be plenty of opportunities to mingle and make friends!
• Tickets are available until the 2nd of May, to allow apt time for postage. Non-dating tickets will be available up until the event date and on the door subject to availability.
• There will be designated members of our team available at all times if any guest needs support in any way.
