Snakes in WNY
Dick & Carol Schmelz 716-694-3488

The first reaction when people see a snake slithering around their yard is usually, "EEK, a snake!! "What should we do with it? Is it harmful to us or beneficial? What is its purpose
in the ecosystem?"

Dick and Carol Schmelz have been breeding captive raised snakes for over 50 years. Many of your questions can be answered by them at this event. You may also want to learn if there are venomous snakes in our area. If so, how do you recognize a venomous snake from a non-venomous snake? We will have some live snakes to show as we go over their distinguishable characteristics and colors.

Have you ever asked yourself if snakes have distinct personalities? After observing snakes for many years, Dick & Carol have some answers for you about that. Feel free to come to this presentation and voice your concerns and /or questions to this team of knowledgeable people. Hope to see you there. This FREE event is sponsored by the Bond Lake Environmental & Beautification Committee.
