Join us for an evening at The Snail to learn drum leaf book binding. This book binding method requires no sewing, just folding and gluing skills. It's a great way to dip your toes into the world of book binding without too much stress. You will come away with a lovely blank journal to write in. All materials and tools included.
About our workshop teacher:
Sonja Rossow has been an visual artist most of her life. She received her B.S. from The University of Louisville, B.S.E. from Minot State and M.F.A. from The University of Alabama in Book Arts.
Her artist books can be seen in special collection libraries at many universities, The Smithsonian collection at The American History Museum and private collections. In addition to teaching art in the MS, HS, and university level, she had taught many book binding workshops. Until last fall she had a thriving book repair business in Huntsville, but decided to pursue being a travel advisor.
Tickets are $20 and include all materials and supplies. Capacity is limited, so reserve your spot quickly!
