Welcome to the Smock Trial: Smocking Workshop!

Join us on Saturday, June 7 at 1 p.m. for a fun and creative event where you can learn all about the art of smocking, a traditional hand-sewing technique that is decorative and functional. Smocking originated in the 15th century as a practical way to create fitted clothes that could stretch. Designs became more elaborate as smocking was used to decorate clothes and home goods into the 21st century. No sewing experience is necessary!
