Frequently asked questions

What is a Hobby Horse Competition?

Riders participating in competitive hobby horsing – a toy consisting of a stick with a model horse head – perform and mimic the movements and technicality of horseback riding in the disciplines of show jumping and dressage, then translate that to their stick horse, where judges score their rounds.

Do I need to have my own horse?

No. There are a VERY limited horses available for lease for the day reserved for the most experienced riders only (experience at the walk, trot, canter a horse they have never ridden before in a field in an English or western saddle). Email kerrydalyruggi@gmail.com for more information.
