Please join Save Mount Diablo for our Smith Canyon Property and Elizabeth Sanderson Trail Dedication. This beautiful 27.75-acre canyon was purchased by Save Mount Diablo in April of 2020, and is a magnificent addition to Curry Canyon. Come and enjoy a splendid hike through the bay oak woodland into the majestic grasslands found on the hilltops above. From there bask in one of the most stunning views of Mount Diablo imaginable. This hike will follow fire roads to the top of a marvelous overlook, where wildlife dance in the morning's first light.

Be sure to bring plenty of water and a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Heavy rain cancels.

Private parking available. No restrooms.
