Smart Irrigation for Trees Workshop

Smart Irrigation for Trees Workshop

City of Sacramento Department of UtilitiesSacramento, CA
Overview

Do you have trees in your yard that you don't know how to care for? Learn how to irrigate young and mature trees while not wasting water.

Join us to learn how to water your trees!

Saving water and growing thriving trees go hand in hand when you learn smart irrigation techniques, the magic of mulch, and how low-water landscapes and shady trees are a perfect pair. Sacramento summers are always hot and dry and these tips are useful every year for water savings and happy trees.

This workshop is sponsored by the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities. The event is primarily held indoors, but stick around for an outdoor tour of the demonstration garden - the water smart gardens include beautiful landscaping and water-efficient irrigation systems.

Register now! The week of the workshop, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get there. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this workshop.

About this project

This workshop is sponsored by the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities.

At the Sacramento Tree Foundation, we steward our urban forest from seed to slab. With your help, we plant over 12,000 trees every year, but the work doesn't stop there. Trees need regular care to thrive, especially for their first three years after planting. We provide free resources, workshops, and educational volunteer opportunities to teach people how to plant, water, prune, and care for their trees and ensure our urban forest thrives for generations to come.
