Each year, the Rent Adjustment Program (RAP) conducts workshops on various Oakland rental housing  law topics to help both property owners and tenants understand their rights and responsibilities. The complete workshop schedule is published on our website sometime in early January; workshops generally take place from January until November.For questions about our workshop schedule or any related topics, please contact our office at (510) 238-3721 or RAP@oaklandca.gov. Housing Counselors are available to answer your calls Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Are you a small property owner in Oakland? Please join us for an overview of your rights and responsibilities under Oakland’s Rent Adjustment and Just Cause for Eviction Ordinances. Topics include rent levels and rent control, security deposits, repairs, harassment, evictions, and Oakland&#x27;s Eviction Moratorium.This workshop will be held virtually through Zoom. A Zoom link will be provided at a later date.If you have any questions or concerns, please contact rap@oaklandca.gov or call (510) 238-3721.*Please be aware that this workshop will be recorded.**Please be aware that registration for each workshop closes the day of at 5:00PM sharp. You must register before 5:00PM the day of for each workshop. The Zoom link for the workshop goes out 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop from Eventbrite.
