About this event

Join us for a farm day visit and learn about our work with specialty vegetable crops, summer cover crops and soil building practices, high tunnel, IPM and beekeeping projects. We will have equipment demonstrations geared toward improving small farm’s efficiency. Lunch will be provided.



-In an effort to cut down on event waste, we ask that participants bring a reusable water bottle, we will have water available for you to refill.

-Dress for the weather; bring sun protection and a hat!

-Please wear closed toe shoes. Fire ants are present on the farm and are active due to dry weather. If you have a known allergy please come prepared.

-The Small Farm Unit is an active working farm with an integrated natural habitat involving bees, wasps, snakes and other creatures.

-Due to NCDA regulations and possible hazards we are unable to accommodate pets at this event.

- Children under 12 are free but children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Participants are encouraged not to bring young children to this event.
