Join the City of San José’s Office of Economic Development for another of its popular in-person events that bring local business owners together to foster connections, provide valuable resources, and enhance the skills of small business owners.
Small Business Empowerment Day, taking place Monday, May 20, 2024, 9 a.m – 1:30 p.m. at the San José City Hall Rotunda, will include networking opportunities with fellow entrepreneurs and City staff, insightful workshops, and a keynote from California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, who will share how California is helping to invest in local communities and small businesses. Free lunch provided!
Workshops include:
- Improve your Loan Approval Odds: Learn about the loan process and get tips to secure funding that can help grow your startup or established business.
- Small Business Ally Office Hours: Get personalized guidance and expert advice on permits, inspections, and business licenses from San José’s Small Business Ally. Gain clarity and support for your business endeavors.
- How to Use Marketing Tools to Advertise Your Business: Unlock the secrets on how to enhance your online presence and attract customers using tools such as Yelp, Facebook, and compelling photos.
