SMALL BUSINESS CLASS "Self-Employment: From Dream to Reality" Class Series Returns April – May 2024
The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is proud to announce the Spring class series, "Self-Employment: From Dream to Reality" designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills necessary to start or expand their own businesses. These sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from April 16th to May 16th, 1 - 4pm at the CAC Agency located at 941 Market Street, Piketon.
Led by the experienced instructors from the W&B Program, Lisa Pfeifer, Erica Jones, and Adam Days, participants will gain invaluable insights into the foundational pillars of starting and operating a business. The curriculum covers essential topics such as business planning, organization, resource utilization, small business lending, advertising and marketing, legal compliance, accounting, financial management, and available support resources.
Lisa Pfeifer, Director of the W&B Program and instructor for the series, expressed her enthusiasm for the impact these classes will have on local entrepreneurs: "Starting a business can be daunting, but with the right guidance and knowledge, individuals can turn their dreams into successful realities. Our goal with this class series is to empower entrepreneurs with the foundational principles and actionable steps necessary to increase their chances of success in the competitive business landscape."
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with expert guest speakers and network with fellow entrepreneurs, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. The class series is offered at $15 per person to cover the costs of materials provided.
