About this event

Summary This Supported Living Update meets 6 hours of Continuing Education credits for employees in our Adult Residential Services programs.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment that has proven results across many different populations. Participants in this class will learn what DBT is and what it is designed to treat. It’s designed to challenge and change perspectives, both in the workplace and outside of it. Attendees will be presented with new ways of thinking about challenging behaviors and gain skills to help manage them. Tools covered include Behavior Chain Analysis (used to process challenging behaviors) as well as Core Mindfulness skills. Using DBT skills to enhance and support daily activities will be highlighted. Intro to Dialectical Behavior Therapy must be taken prior to attending DBT Skills.

AudienceThis class is designed for employees who work with clients in the Service Alternatives' DBT program.
