About this event

About Slow Flow Yoga

This class incorporates meditation and mindful sequencing that follows the ebb and flow of the changing seasons, providing a balanced practice that increases energy, decreases stress. The slower pace calms anxiety, bringing balance to the organs of the body and stimulating the meridians (energy channels). It is inspired by both Yin and Yang yoga styles, focusing on the deep connective tissues, holding static poses for longer amounts of time as well as flowing through simple sequences that increase joint mobility and range of motion.

Note: Mondays mornings tend to lean towards more movement and Thursday evenings tend to lean towards more Yin poses. Each class is different and inspired by what is present in the group and the time of year.

Frequently asked questions

I haven't been to Yoga class in awhile. Would this class be good for me?

Yes! This is a great class to get you back into the flow. The simple sequencing allows for more mindfulness and relaxation. Despite the simplicity, there is still an element of challenge to holding poses for longer amounts of time.

I have never done Yoga. Would this be a good class to start with?

Yes, this class is great for both beginners and seasoned students alike. Because of the slower sequencing, you won't have to worry about "keeping up", but because holding poses can be more challenging, it is also good for people that have a regular practice.
