Littlefield has been one of NYC’s premier independent live venues since 2009. It has showcased some of the best comedy, live music, dance parties, podcasts, art, film and theater. Currently housed in a former 1920’s printing press warehouse, littlefield’s layout and sound system also makes it ideal for weddings, private parties, conventions and festivals.

It’s time to celebrate the season in traditional indie rock style: at a rock club, watching crucial music on a small stage with drink in hand and a friendly crowd on all sides. This is SLEEPY KITTY’s NYC send off show before they head to London and Paris for shows, studio time, and a probably fruitless hunt for the NYTimes crossword. Their sharp-edged new single “Do It Without Me” is being released this April, and their new album, “Blessing/Curse,” comes out on Nordic records this June. Rich in layered vocal harmonies and expressive guitar leads, you can hear the Velvet Underground and Pavement pulsing in their blood, as well as the arch vocals of Blondie and the dry remove of Cate Le Bon or Tom Verlaine. Their recent expansion on stage from a duo to a three-piece gives them more room to soar and they take every bit, from the throbbing bass rumble of “Bigger Picture” to the magic palace of vocal loops and shared harmonies of “I Got a Feelin’.” It’s an indie-rock rollercoaster of fractured guitar pop.“Fans of such ’90s femme-rock luminaries as the Breeders, Juliana Hatfield and Veruca Salt, as well as sardonic present-day rock chicks like Courtney Barnett and Laura Stevenson, will find the duo very easy to love, while ascendant garage-rock[ers] Ezra Furman and the Boyfriends are fans and friends” – Toronto Star• • • • • • •ILITHIOS is a difficult to pronounce band from Brooklyn NY. Their music is a blend of chamber pop and art rock with a high energy live show that invites the audience to get lost in the joy, melancholy, and frenzy while bandleader Manny Nomikos croons and flails. All the while, guitarist Ana Becker and bassist Julie Rozansky provide heavenly vocals and harmonies. Justin Gonzalez transports you with his guitar and Don Lavis keeps you dancing with his drums. • • • • • • •NIHILOCEROS: Mike Borchardt (guitar/vocals), Alex Hoffman (bass/vocals), and German Sent (drums) came together from different corners of the world (Chicago, Alaska, Siberia). Their paths somehow all crossed in Brooklyn, NY where they struck up a collaborative creative friendship. With a shared penchant for loud guitars, cool rhythms, and sad pop melodies, they now write music together about the imminent evolutionary unraveling of the human condition and the absurdity of the end of the wold. They also play a lot of shows. Nihiloceros is a nice and noisy band from New York. Think raucous punk pop* with a heavy dose of grunge goodness. *punk pop is not to be confused with pop punk — Oh My RocknessWith a sound grounded in the New York punk scene, Nihiloceros treads into ‘90s Brit rock while displaying a power-pop quirkiness that suggests the self-proclaimed “trash pop” band isn’t too quick to cling to labels.
