Description

World-Class Filmmakers

World-renowned timelapse filmmaker Harun Mehmedinovic is flying into Duluth! Join us at Clyde Iron Works for screenings, stories, and observations about SKYGLOW's journey to document the night sky.

An Incredible Journey

The SKYGLOW Project is the result of their grueling, three-year journey of over 150,000 miles and 3,000,000 pictures. SKYGLOW explores North America's remaining magnificent night skies and the threat light pollution poses to our fragile environment.

This is an event you won't want to miss! Everyone of all ages will be amazed by the incredible photos, stories, and time-lapse movies by these incredible photographers.

Check out their unbelievable videos!

The Global Movement

SKYGLOW explores the history and mythology of celestial observation, the proliferation of electrical outdoor lighting that spurred the rise of the phenomena known as "skyglow,” and the Dark Sky Movement that's fighting to reclaim the night skies. Featured by rock legends The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, BBC Earth, National Geographic, Time, National Park Service, and over 1000 media outlets, SKYGLOW images and videos have been seen by over 200 million people

Celebrate the Night Sky!

This is event of part of Starry Skies Lake Superior's Celebrate the Night Sky Week! From September 17-23, we'll be holding events around the region to celebrate our night skies and learn about light pollution!

There'll be star parties, book readings, world-class seminars and talks, oil paint demonstrations, and more! Check out our website for more information.
