CHASING SHADOWS The sky won't do this again until 2081.On the 12th of August, the moon will slide in front of the sun and take 93% of it with it the deepest eclipse Britain has seen since 1999. We're marking it with a wander along Aldwick beach to the Mulberry Harbour wreck, eclipse glasses on, until the light itself starts to change.what's included 🌒 guided viewing of the 93% solar eclipse 👓 certified eclipse glasses, yours to keep 🏴‍☠️ a short history of the Aldwick wreck 🔭 eclipse &amp; astronomy facts along the way 🌅 sunset from the sand to finishhow it unfolds 6:00pm : meet at Aldwick Beach Café (FREE parking) we wander &amp; waffle along the beach, glasses on, to the wreck for a brief history then the time is yours: socialise, explore the wreck, watch the sun begin to disappear 7:08pm : maximum eclipse, 93% coverage 8:00pm : last contact, we wander on to watch the sunset 8:32pm : sunset 9:00pm : back at the meeting point, latestOur resident meteorologist and amateur astronomer Chris will be there throughout for anything you're curious about.good to know weather dependent: if we cancel, you're refunded immediately arrive 15 minutes early wear beach-suitable footwear, and something warm the light drops fast once the moon gets involvedspaces are limited. come chase the shadows with us.
