Currently serving in the military and you will be eligible to participate in a SkillBridge program in the Spring or Summer of 2026.Ability to get permission from your commander to participate in the SkillBridge program.Junior Military Veteran

The Auto Claims Adjuster (Entry Level) is responsible for handling a high volume of low‑complexity auto claims involving repairable vehicles. In this role, you will evaluate coverage, investigate facts, assess damage, negotiate settlements, and provide exceptional support to members and claimants. This position offers foundational training in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance and opportunities to grow within USAA’s claims organization.What You’ll DoApply appropriate coverage and handle simple liability auto claims involving repairable vehicles.Evaluate damages, determine claim value, and settle claims within authority guidelines and under direct supervision.Use proactive problem‑solving to overcome obstacles and prioritize a dynamic workload.Clearly document your thought process, including coverage analysis, damage assessment, investigation actions, negotiation steps, and settlement decisions.Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive timely claims resolution.Support members and claimants by using various communication channels, including digital tools, to deliver exceptional service.Acquire and apply foundational knowledge of P&C insurance products, policy contracts, coverages, and internal claims procedures.Use basic knowledge of Auto Physical Damage principles to support accurate claim evaluations.Assist with workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations, which may include on‑call requirements and occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays.Participate in CAT deployment travel with minimal notice when required.Work various claim types, including higher‑complexity claims as needed, and take on additional duties based on business needs.Ensure risks associated with business activities are properly identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in alignment with USAA’s risk and compliance policies.
