Explore the vibrant world of California's native wildflowers with our sketching class designed for naturalists and artists of all levels. Whether you're a curious beginner eager to explore the intersection of art and ecology or a seasoned artist seeking inspiration from nature, join in this unique opportunity to connect with California's rich botanical heritage and unleash your creativity.

This class takes place inside a classroom and outside in the Theodore Payne Foundation gardens! Please come prepared with water, sun protection, and closed-toe shoes.

Materials: Participants are encouraged to bring paper and their preferred drawing tools, whether it be pencils, colored pencils, or pens. For those without, we provide paper and a selection of pencils and pens for borrowing.

Maryanne Pittman is the Director of Public Programs at the Theodore Payne Foundation, a Certified California Naturlaist, and an experienced art and design professional. She holds degrees in Fine Art and Biology, and specializes in conservation education.
