Dates: This class runs Saturdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, starting June 15th and running for 8 weeks. A showcase will be scheduled as an additional opportunity on an evening during the week of Sunday August 10th.

Josh Wright has been involved with Coalition Theater ever since he started taking classes in 2016. He currently performs with the house team Wolf Night, coached the sketch team Anarchy Barn, and co-directs the annual Pride sketch comedy show, Outburst. You can also catch him in various shows such as Can’t Hardly Date, the Improvised RomCom and with his duo, Sweet, Sweet Angel Babies.

You've mastered the art of sketch comedy's ABCs, and now it's time to take your comedic prowess to the next level. Buckle up, because in Sketch Writing 201, we're diving headfirst into the wild and wacky world of advanced hilarity.
In this electrifying sequel, we'll take the training wheels off your comedic bicycle and launch you straight into the laughter stratosphere and explore the outer reaches of comedy brilliance.
We'll teach you the art of turning the knob of absurdity up to eleven while throwing logic out the window. Get ready for sketches that defy gravity, reason, and maybe even the laws of physics. Learn the delicate art of timing, pacing, and punchlines that land with the impact of a meteor hitting a whoopee cushion factory.
By the end of this 8-week journey, you'll have sketches of multiple genres and flavors to share with your friends, family, and fans at a jam-packed showcase performance.

The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. While we do our best to accommodate such situations, refunds are awarded only as credit for a future class or shows and are subject to the discretion of The Coalition Theater management. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
