Sixth Engine Crab Feast

Engine Co. No. 6 is the oldest firehouse in the District of Columbia, evenpredating the professional fire service in the city. Founded in 1855,the building was the first of well-known Washington architect AdolfCluss's nearly 100 buildings to be constructed in D.C. Today it remains as one ofonly 11 still standing. Originally home to Metropolitan Hook & Ladder 1, it later became Engine Company 6.The building was decommissioned as a firehouse in 1974 and wasleft abandoned and neglected for almost 40 years until fivelocal restauranteurs and longtime friends, Jeremy Carman, GavinColeman, Paul Holder, Paul Madrid, and Tim Walsh, began restoration in 2011.

Sixth Engine Crab Feast
Join us on the patio for our first ever all-you-can-eat Crab Feast! Ticket prices include crabs steamed on site by Capital Crab as well as complimentary beer & wine. Sixth Engine will be providing additional sides of hushpuppies, corn on the cob, & roasted potatoes. Seating will be in true crabhouse fashion with crabs and sides served family-style. Each seating has a two hour duration, but we encourage you to continue enjoying the festivities inside the bar following your feast.
