Black Women Are the Balm was born from Lucy Castillo’s lifelong role as a space-holder, healer, and humor-weaver among Black women. From her college days to her professional life, she has has been in deep support system of Black women and understood this is the foundation to thrive. She also realized that not all women had this privilege and access to community. She asked, what would it feel like to be truly seen, sovereign, soft, and not just always in service? Rooted in ancestral wisdom, radical self-remembrance, and deep compassion, this movement is her answer. Community isn’t optional, it is sacred.

You are invited into a sacred space—warm, intentional, and rooted in the care of Black women, by Black women. A space to exhale. To listen inward. To be witnessed without judgment. Together, we’ll explore both the beauty and the burden of being a Black woman—and imagine new ways of living that center our own nurturing, passions, and values. This is not a space to perform. It is a space to simply be—honest, soft, strong, uncertain, and whole.This sister circle is your sacred pause—a space to be held, to be witnessed, and to come home to yourself. A moment to reflect on what’s ending, to choose with clarity what carries forward, and to walk onward with more of your truth intact.Come be with us.Come be with you.
