Who was the calligrapher for the 13th Amendment? View original historical documents currently on loan from the National Archives in Washington, DC. The workshop will include all materials needed to re-create lines from original historical documents. It will be led by in-house artist and public programs officer, Azalea Michel-Whitley, who has an undergraduate degree in fine arts from Kansas State University.
Light appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks will be served.
This program is free and open to the public. It is generally supported by the Truman Library Institute. Suitable for ages 12 and up.
