Embark on a journey of creativity with our Sip and Spin ceramics class, a wonderfully unique experience where you can learn the basics of wheel throwing in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Our talented instructors will be your expert guides, walking you through the art of pottery.
Feel free to bring your favorite beverage as this class is BYOB-friendly, adding a touch of fun to your artistic journey.

Whether you're shaping your very first clay masterpiece or seeking to perfect your pottery skills, our Sip and Spin class offers the ideal blend of creativity and camaraderie. Come, sip, and let your imagination take flight
All glazing and firings will be completed by the instructor and you can pick up your pieces approximately 2-4 weeks after the workshop at a time arranged with your instructor.
Minimum of 5 students per class or class will be canceled /rescheduled at the discretion of Erie ClaySpace. In the event of a class cancellation, funds will be fully refunded.

The front doors to the PACA building are locked. When you arrive, please call this number (814) 520-5089 and your instructor will buzz you in.
*Accessibility: If you require an elevator (we are on the third floor), please let us know ahead of time at info@erieclayspace.com, and we will have someone assist you. (The elevator is old-fashioned, and you cannot call it with a button.)

Frequently asked questions
Attendees must be at least 14 years of age or older to attend, and attendees under 21 are not permitted to bring/consume alcohol.
Refunds can be issued if proper notice is given at least 48 hours before the event.
You should come with any food or beverages you’d like to enjoy during your workshop, as well as any utensils, glasses, plates, etc. that your treats require. ClaySpace does not provide any of these items and is not responsible for clean-up.
Don’t wear any loose clothing, scarves, or long jewelry. Long hair should be tied back and no rings or bracelets should be worn, as they can fall off or get ruined. All clay washes out of clothing, but wear clothing you care about at your own risk.
Come with an open mind! Throughout the course, our experienced instructor will conduct demonstrations, showcasing a variety of techniques. They will take you through each step, ensuring you grasp the process, and they'll be there to answer any questions you may have as you create your unique pieces.
While we aim for perfection, it's essential to recognize that in multi-step art forms like pottery, success isn't always guaranteed. However, you can trust that your creations will receive the utmost care and attention from our instructor, ensuring a rewarding experience.
After the workshop, your instructor will glaze and fire your work. The finishing process takes several days to complete, and students can pick up their work about 2-4 weeks after the workshop at a time agreed upon by the group and instructor.
