Sip & Paint
Overview

Celebrate Juneteenth with art, wine, culture, networking, and a guided sip & paint experience in Baltimore.

Black artists don’t lack talent or creativity—they often lack access to the same platforms, resources, and visibility. In Baltimore, Black artists are essential to the city’s cultural, economic, and social fabric, shaping its identity through music, visual art, fashion, storytelling, and performance while preserving history and pushing culture forward. Their work not only reflects the lived experiences of the community but also drives economic development, activates neighborhoods, supports creative entrepreneurship, and fosters healing and empowerment in communities impacted by trauma and inequality. At the same time, it is critical that Baltimore’s youth value and develop art skills, as creativity serves as a pathway to identity, confidence, and opportunity—opening doors within today’s growing creative economy while strengthening the city’s future cultural landscape.

Join the Greater Baltimore Leadership Association (GBLA) for Canvas & Culture: A Juneteenth Experience, an immersive evening celebrating Black creativity, culture, and community through art, conversation, and connection. Hosted at Creatively Black on June 18, 2026, this unique experience will bring together young professionals, creatives, artists, and community leaders for a meaningful Juneteenth celebration centered around empowerment, expression, and culture.
