It’s time to tell it.Join Tami McCarthy of <a href="https://www.kahlocollective.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KAHLO Collective</a> and Serena Norr of <a href="https://www.letsmakeaplay.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Let’s Make a Play</a>, a playmaking community for dreamers, creatives, the curious, and seekers who believe in community, collaboration, and telling stories from different perspectives to awaken and inspire, for a warm and welcoming evening of generative writing.During this one-day workshop, you’ll be guided -- via prompts -- to kick-start your writing and have the opportunity to write freely on your own writing projects -- or start something new -- in a supportive, small group setting.Event Outline (subject to change):Welcome and intention settingPrompt/warm upFree Write: We will provide a prompt but you can also use this time to work on your writing if you’d like.Sharing: You are not obligated to share. All participants will have the option to read their work should they want gentle feedback and any first responses/reactions from the group.Connect and Sip: Meet other local writers.This is a safe and judgement-free zone. Writers of all ages (21 and up) and abilities are welcome.

Serena Norr : BioSerena Norr is a playwright and founder of Let’s Make a Play, a collaborative playmaking community that offers workshops and courses on playmaking. Her plays have been performed at the Omaha Fringe Festival, White Plains Performing Arts Center, the New Deal Creative Arts Center, NYC at the Players Theater with the Rogue Theater Festival and the NYC Short Play Festival, the University of Alabama as well as various productions around the U.S. over Zoom. She is also a member of the Dramatists Guild, Westchester Collaborative Theater, a program attendee of the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, and a recent attendee of the Women’s Theatre Festival (WTF) Directing Program. Published works include “OTHER” in Theatre Unbound’s “Bittersweet” Monologue Collection and her short play, “Zoom Like No One is Watching” will be published in the “UNTITLED COVID SHORT PLAY ANTHOLOGY” by Flower Song Press (2022).
