Join us for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience at beautiful Misty Morning Ranch in scenic Moore County, North Carolina.

Hop on the Sandhills Trolley at the Harris Teeter at 5:00 pm ( 400 Mill Creek Rd Carthage NC 28327), for a scenic round trip through Moore County! Enjoy a delightful ride while learning about ostriches and tasting fine wines. This unique experience combines fun and education in a beautiful setting. Join us for an unforgettable adventure!

Hop off at the farm and enjoy local ostrich small bites crafted by acclaimed Chef Benito Cantoran, perfectly paired with wines thoughtfully selected by local sommelier Dan Collier.

Savor the flavors, soak in the views, and indulge in an unforgettable food and wine experience.


The event will wrap up with a live cooking demonstration and expert pairing tips you can take home.

Menu for the event will be:

Ostrich steak tostade - Strawberry and roasted corn pico, with lime zest and microgreens cantaloupe.

Tasting note - Bright and citrusy, minute heat, sweet strawberry and savory garlic

Birria-Dilla bites - Asadero cheese blend with yellow corn masa sope, sweet pickled reds, consome, and microgreens radish

Tasting Note - Deep roasted chili flavor, smokey, nuetral corn, crisp and sharp onion.

Chamorro Pozole - Braised Ostrich shank with hominy, oregano and epazote, radish, chili powder, lime, and microgreen cilantro

Tasting Note - Rich silky broth, green and earthy with hint of heat.

Misty Morning Ranch is a small family run farm in North Carolina.  Driven by our passion for sustainable agriculture we started raising ostriches in 2016.

After leaving the city life of Los Angeles behind husband and wife team, Gaby and Ryan, found a beautiful 60 acre ranch in Robbins, NC.  With a passion and drive for sustainability, they began researching alternatives for farming.  After visiting many different operations and learning as much as two city people can about farming, they settled raising ostriches.  Thanks to North Carolina goodness grows, they were able to find hilltop ostrich farms for mentoring and guidance.
