ack by popular demand, this unique event gives wine lovers the opportunity to share a special bottle of their own, and enjoy tasting what other enthusiasts have been cellaring.<h3>&quot;Age is just a number. It’s totally irrelevant unless, of course, you happen to be a bottle of wine.” --Joan Collins</h3>A one-of-a-kind wine tasting experience! There is much to celebrate - just being able to be together, our shared love of fine wines...and building bridges across cultures. On the evening of Saturday, May 20th, we will gather around a collector&#x27;s collection! Each guest is asked to contribute a special bottle of their own and in return will enjoy a rare sampling of other stunning, age-worthy wines. The venue is the beautiful <a href="https://www.oregonwinereserve.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Oregon Wine Reserve</a> in Lake Oswego. Tickets are $50 each (until 4pm on 5/20 or $60 at the door) plus a library wine from your cellar. After a short welcome, we will kickoff the tasting at 5:30pm. A sommelier and other industry professionals will be available to answer wine questions and manage the pouring of the wines. Your bottle will be returned to you at the end of the event. <h2>The best wines will attract the best wines! </h2>After you confirm your ticket purchase, the organizers will contact you to collect information on the wine you plan to bring. This information will be shared with other guests in advance. We will ask for things like:<ul><li>Producer, Region, Vintage and Varietal</li><li>A photo of the bottle</li><li>Short story of how it came to be yours</li><li>Any other information you&#x27;d like to share</li></ul>Here is what we consider to be a Library Wine for this event:<ul><li>Vintage - ideally the wine you bring will be 5+ years old, unless it is specifically NV.</li><li>Value - Current retail value will be at least $50 (don&#x27;t worry if you don&#x27;t know this) </li><li>Size - Minimum size is 750 ml unless agreed otherwise, for example smaller-format dessert-style wines. </li></ul>I hope you are getting excited - you will be able to try some spectacular wines! As they come in, we will add wines that guests are bringing. Proceeds benefit the Portland-Bologna Sister City Association (www.portland-bologna.org). Every dollar raised helps grow our education and culture programs, including our Youth Exchange, which has been helping young people have a transformative experience since 2008. Responsible Host Policy Wine will be poured by OLCC licensed servers and consumption monitored for everyone&#x27;s safety and enjoyment. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, and we encourage guests to leave the driving to someone else (taxi/Uber/Lyft etc). Also, please note that this event will be held fully indoors, and physical distancing may not be possible. Masks are optional, and if guests who are feeling unwell should not attend - tickets are transferable.
