Singh Center for Nanotechnology 2023 Annual User Meeting

Join us at the Singh Center for Nanotechnology 2023 Annual User Meeting on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in the Glandt Forum. At our Annual User Meeting, we celebrate nanotechnology-enabled research and innovation at the University of Pennsylvania. Online registration is required to attend. On-site registration will NOT be permitted.

Event Highlights include:

• Witness over a dozen invited talks from the Singh Center for Nanotechnology user community to learn about cutting-edge science in the heart of Philadelphia.
• Attend the afternoon and evening poster sessions to speak one-on-one with scientists, researchers, and innovators.
• Take advantage of networking opportunities during the morning, coffee breaks, lunch, or dinner.
• Participate in the raffle contest for all attendees and poster session presenters. Awards are presented in the evening and attendees must be present to receive their prize.

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION

The event is free to attend, but online registration is required. On-site registration is NOT allowed. A face-covering is not mandatory but is suggested for those susceptible to infection. Registration ends at midnight, October 11, 2023. Click the "register" button on this page to register.

ATTENDING IN PERSON

The health and safety of the community is our primary concern. Since this is an in-person event, the University of Pennsylvania recommends that each attendee review its Public Health Guidance. Masks are recommended in indoor public settings for individuals with underlying medical conditions that make them more vulnerable to severe disease.

There are a few hotels in University City that are considered within walking distance to the Singh Center for Nanotechnology:

• Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel: 36th and Chestnut
• The Inn At Penn - A Hilton Hotel: 36th and Walnut
• Homewood Suites by Hilton: 41st and Walnut
• The Study At University City: 33rd and Chestnut

Alternatively, Center City has a few options near the Convention Center and the historic City Hall. If you stay at any Center City location listed below, take any trolley from 13th Street Station to 33rd St. Station on Market Street or the westbound busses #21 or #42 along Walnut Street and walk to the Singh Center for Nanotechnology.

GETTING HERE

If you're arriving by plane into PHL, you can take the train to University City. Cabs are also available at the airport as well as UBER and Lyft. Car rentals are also available at the airport. If you're arriving by car, please refer to the parking information above. If you're arriving by train, the Singh Center for Nanotechnology is considered within walking distance from 30th Street Station. You can also take a cab, UBER, or Lyft from this location.

MEAL POLICY

Only a limited number of boxed meals are available per meal. Therefore, meal tickets/vouchers will only be distributed in the Glandt Forum during the sessions preceding the meal. An attendee should be present in the morning sessions to receive a meal voucher to obtain lunch. Moreover, an attendee should be present in the afternoon sessions to receive a meal voucher to obtain dinner. This policy does not apply to the exhibitors, poster presenters, invited speakers and meeting organizers. Registration alone does not guarantee meal access.
