About this event

Evening Relaxing Restorative Sound Bath Meditations With Sound Therapist Gary Posner

Friends, I would like to invite you to our New York City 2024 Therapeutic Sound Bath Meditations Series.

Winter evening classes are 4:30 PM on Sundays and 6:30 PM on Mondays . Researchers have found that tension, anxiety, and negative moods decreased significantly after a Therapeutic Sound™ Bath Meditation. Sunday evening classes are a full 90 minutes. The extra time allows for a deeper feeling of rejuvenation and relaxation

This month our Sound Focus will be Brain Health & Relaxation. There have been new promising research and case studies showing that certain musical frequencies can stimulate brain function and possibly help individuals challenged with dementia. Our Sound Baths in January will include these “musical vitamins.”

Sound Bath Meditations are a combination of restorative yoga, meditation, toning, chanting and a sacred sound concert. They have been shown to reduce stress, enable deep relaxation, strengthen the immune system, promote healing, enhance creativity, uplift the spirit and help with insomnia. Sound Meditations slow down your brainwaves and guide you into a deep meditative state or altered state of consciousness. Participants lay down comfortably and then are “immersed” in the sounds, vibrations and harmonics of the instruments. Gongs, Himalayan bowls, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and shamanic percussion instruments are played in a clinically tested, therapeutic sequence to maximize benefits. No previous knowledge or experience is required. Sound is a very accessible form of meditation where benefits are usually experienced right after the first session.
