About this event
- 7 hours 30 minutes
Our Silent Grief retreat will begin Friday evening, with check-in time beginning at 4:00 PM and will last through Sunday morning. We look forward to meeting friends from our Silent Grief community!
Throughout the weekend we will have plenty of time to hear Clara speak, visit the United 93 National memorial (1 mile from the camp entrance), eat meals together, have free time, and have a candle light service to remember your child(dren).
Your meals are provided the entire weekend, including breakfast Sunday! This is a camp setting, so be sure to bring bed linens and a pillow. We will sleep in two large lodges that are equipped with their own bathrooms and a common room with a fireplace. The beds are single mattresses so married couples may be required to sleep in separate beds to be more comfortable. They will still be in the same cabin.
Camp Allegheny is located in the beautiful Laurel Highlands and its property adjoins the Flight 93 property where Flight 93 came to rest on September 11, 2001. We will visit the memorial site together and everyone is free to revisit during our free time as well.
We will have plenty of time to make friends, hike, rest, and just enjoy yourself for the weekend! We will have a keynote talk with Clara on Saturday then a breakout. We have camp fires planned for the evenings where we can roast marshmallows, drink coffee, and relax together. We will be right at the tail end of peak season for the fall leaves, so it should be plenty beautiful. Bring warm clothes. It tends to get very chilly this time of year.
We look forward to meeting you all and spending the weekend together!
