Whether you're a bookworm or just looking to unwind in a cozy hangout, this event is perfect for you. Bring your favorite book and enjoy a few hours of silent reading in great company. No pressure to socialize, just a peaceful atmosphere to indulge in your love for books. Don't miss out on this unique experience!

We offer a small variety of prepackaged snacks, water, coffee and tea (for a donation) and you're welcome to bring your own food/snacks to enjoy and while we read and socialize.

So mark your calendars and join us for an evening of reading, and mingling at Purse & Proverbs. Don't forget to bring your current read and get ready to indulge in some much-needed bookish bliss!

Will there be books available for purchase at the event?

We have a very small selection of books to browse for those who decide to not bring a book from home & buy one the day of the event. However, we highly encourage you to bring your latest read. Silent Book Club is a community centered event designed to create a space for you to relax and read.

Note Regarding Cancellations

Silent Book Club is a free event, and open to anyone to attend. Space is limited which is why we ask you to RSVP. If you register for the event, and realize that you can no longer attend, we kindly ask you to reach out to cancel so we can pass your space to someone on the waitlist.

Content of the event may be recorded for use on social media. However, if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please let us know the day of the event and we will make sure to adhere to your wishes.
