About this event

  • 1 hour 45 minutes

The BPOU and U of U EDI will be hosting an event focused on the mental health challenges and the stigmatization of veterans in the workplace. We will begin the evening with a short screening of "Thank You For Your Service," a documentary focused on the mental health challenges of recent Iraq and Afghan War veterans.

The event is aimed to spark conversations about the stigma surrounding mental health in the veteran community. Through the film and discussions, attendees will gain insight into the struggles veterans face daily and we will explore ways to support and advocate for their well-being.

Panelists will consist of:

  1. Dr. Tracy Hunter, MD (Army)
  2. Raphael Corley (Navy)
  3. Valdez Darris (Navy)
  4. Stephanie Osuocha (Navy)

Moderator: Dr. Ferguson (Army)
