Back by popular demand, New York duo Maksim Shrtykov (clarinet) and Misuzu Tanaka (piano) bring their musical magic back to Albany.

St Alban's Episcopal Church

First heard at the Third Sunday Concert Series in January 2018, the Shtrykov-Tanaka Duo returns with a program including Mendelssohn's Clarinet Sonata, a virtuoso fantasy on themes from La Traviata by Lovreglio, and Maksim Shtrykov's own arrangement of Prokofiev's Flute Sonata Op. 94 in D Major. The Duo has been described as "a new generation of exquisitely talented performers who elevate our understanding of the world's music" (Shelter Island Reporter) and frequently performs across the United States.With its innovative programming, master classes, and recitals, the Duo makes it their mission to transform the superb instrumental combination from a rare occurrence to a welcomed guest in concert series across the globe. Both artists are graduates of The Juilliard School and enjoy extensive international solo careers that have heard them in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Germany’s Leipzig Gewandhaus and Japan’s Izumi Hall. <a href="http://misuzutanaka.com/duo" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">misuzutanaka.com/duo </a>
