About this event

  • 3 hours

Sunny Dee Productions presents Show Me The Ropes, a triweekly BIPOC-only rope class & skillshare.

Every three weeks will feature a different topic taught by our resident rope educators. Each session will be live-streamed and recorded. Limited rope kits will be available each month there is an in-person class.

This virtual-only session will be taught by Lotus RopeWolf. A native of Dominica, Lotus RopeWolf is an avant-garde rope artist, whose philosophy around k i n k is heavily influenced by Audre Lorde's essay "Uses of the Erotic." He believes in creating moments of intimacy that are positive and life-changing. This philosophy guides him as he navigates his own freedom living as a queer Black male in the B D S M lifestyle.

This month, we will be focusing on some rope essentials:

  • single column tie
  • double column tie
  • lark’s head knot
  • half hitch
  • square knot

Skill level: Beginner

ACCESSIBILITY:

At Sunny Dee Productions, we try our best to produce events with the full inclusion of all our Deaf, disabled, ill, and neurodivergent friends in mind. Due to money, venue, time, and opportunity constraints we unfortunately cannot meet this goal every time. However, we are building community so we can see the day where this is achievable at every single one of our events, every time. Thank you for your support and understanding as we march towards this goal.

Sign language interpretation is available upon request (dee@sunnydeepod.com).

Captions will be provided on the live stream, which will be recorded and sent out afterwards to all ticketholders. The sound level is low to mid-level for this event.
