<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">The next Total Solar Eclipse visible from the USA will be on August 21st!!! We want to help you prepare to capture this rare and exciting moment!</H2>
 
A total solar eclipse is a rare event, with typically decades passing between full eclipse occurrences. The passing of the moon directly in front of the sun, provides one of nature's greatest displays. Certainly something that every photography would want to capture if they could. Given its periodic occurrence, the gear required, the proper setup needed and the short window of opportunity, being prepared well in advance is critical.
 
We will begin this workshop by talking about the eclipse itself, how the eclipse will unfold over time, the images that are possible during this time period and a general overview of the things that you, as a photographer, should be prepared for. The light, generated by an eclipse, due to the nature of how it's created, is unlike anything that you have likely photographed in the past.
 
Photographing a solar eclipse necessarily involves looking straight into the sun. Yes we know, your mother told you not to do this...among other things she warned you against. We have some product recommendations that not only make it possible for you to aim your camera, directly at the sun, but we take protection for your eyes into account as well. We will wrap this section up, with an overview of recommended camera gear, including body, lenses and other accessories.
 
Last but not least, we want to make sure you are ready when the fleeting moments arrive. In our last section of the course, we will discuss camera settings and approaches to get some compelling images, from what might be a once in a lifetime event.
