<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>What is camera RAW, what are its benefits and how can I process them to take advantage of those benefits?</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>In a small, hands-on environment we will look at how camera RAW differs from out-of-camera JPGs, what the benefits are of a RAW image workflow and briefly discuss different RAW processing options. We will then go over the settings in one of the most popular RAW imaging solutions – Adobe's Lightroom and Adobe Camera RAW (ACR).</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>This workshop is suitable for photographers new to RAW image processing who may be interested in moving beyond out-of-camera JPGs and want to explore the potential of a camera RAW workflow.</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>Participants should have or have access to a camera that captures RAW files. You should also have access to Adobe CC (Photoshop CC & Lightroom CC Classic, in particular). If you'd like to work on images during the workshop please bring a laptop with Adobe CC installed. If you don't have access to a laptop but have RAW images you would like to look at please bring them on a small usb drive.</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>Phil managed the imaging department of a large format printing and design company in San Francisco for then years then managed the photographic resources of the Mills College art department for another nine years as their studio tech. Now a freelance photographer and fine art printer, Phil specializes in architectural subjects and art installations, shooting for architects, designers, builders, gallerists and artists.</SPAN></DIV>
