Shipyard Trust for the Arts' mission revolves around the large and diverse community of visual artists, musicians and writers who have been working in studios at the historic Hunters Point Shipyard for more than 40 years. Keeping the studios affordable, facilitating arts education and exhibitions that involve people from our surrounding Bayview Hunters Point community and promoting programs and activities inspired by the intimate setting of artists' individual studios comprise the focus of our work. The Shipyard is open to the public just twice a year for artist events.</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Explore </strong>the historic bayside home of the country’s largest artist community.</li><li><strong>Connect </strong>with over one hundred art makers in their studios and support them directly by purchasing their work.</li><li><strong>Drop in </strong>anytime over the weekend.</li><li><strong>Ample free parking </strong>with easy access to all six Shipyard buildings.
