Shibari 101: Learning the Ropes

Step into the world of rope bondage at The Cheeky Peach in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. This beginner-friendly, 3-hour hands-on workshop introduces both Shibari and Western-style techniques, offering a well-rounded foundation for those eager to explore. Learn fundamental ties, practice essential skills and build confidence in a fun and supportive setting.

Whether you’re drawn to the aesthetics, the connection with yourself and others, the sensuality or the unique sensation of rope on your skin, this is an opportunity to deepen your understanding and appreciation of Shibari.

No experience needed. Partner preferred.

What to bring:

  • 3 hanks of 27'-30'ft rope
  • 1 hank of 10'-15'ft rope
  • a yoga mat for comfort
  • hydration

Light snacks and sweet treats included. Need rope? Rope will be available for purchase before and after class.

What should I wear?

Come dressed comfortably, to tie and be tied. Those who will be tied should wear form-fitting, comfortable clothes . Avoid wearing bulky fabrics such as thick sweaters and jeans. Loose stuff gets in the way!

Is this a hands-on workshop?

Yes! You’ll have the chance to practice ties under guidance. Participation is always at your comfort level.
