One afternoon of Two Northwest Jewels

We love brining you international touring artists but let’s feature our Northwest gems as well. Auntmama invited these two women because their music is stellar and their social kindness laudable.

About Sheryl Wiser:

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Sheryl Wiser has crafted a soulful and uniquely compelling style, combining elements of Americana, roots-rock, blues and jazz. With her signature Parker Fly guitar, she displays a dynamic range of rhythmic textures that blend beautifully with her honest, powerful and vibrant voice.

A veteran of the ’90s alt-country/Americana band Somebody’s Daughter, and now a recognized solo artist, she is a well regarded songwriter, combining keen observations with an emotional richness and depth.

The Seattle Times writes "Wiser's music is sharp and clean, featuring her sweet, powerful voice tempered by rich, stunning melody. She writes emotional, rhythmically stirring songs and delivers them with genuine passion and is a gifted singer and songwriter."

In 2016, Shery launched Pie + Persistence to assist not for profits assiting vunerable populations by taking action, raising funds and sharing good food including pie.

She has raised over $85,000 in support of more than 27 organizations operating at all levels - regionally, statewide, nationally and internationally.

About Alicia Healey:

Some of you may remember Alicia’s epic 76 Trombone Birthday performace on Stage 3. We wanted her back. She’s the talented collaborator and muscians for dozens of albums, the founder and creative genius of Winterblue Room Studio and a fierce human.

Alicia Healey is a powerful vocalist, songwriter, producer and studio owner in Seattle, WA.

She learned to sing from Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton, Carly Simon and Olivia Newton-John and learned to write from Patty Griffin, Gretchen Peters, John Prine and Cat Stevens.

From country to pop/rock and back again, her style of alt-folk is led by her smooth vocals, engaging guitar and great songs (originals and covers). She is a storyteller who taps into the significance of insignificant moments. And her fresh arrangements of lesser-known and popular tunes round out her musical and poetic performances.
