Shelter Partnership Gala
Wed, May 3, 2017, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM PDT
You are cordially invited to attend Shelter Partnership’s 28 th Annual Dinner on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at The Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
This year, we are honoring LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas for his outstanding leadership in solving homelessness. Shelter Partnership has been working closely with the Supervisor’s office for the last several years. We are inspired by his efforts to engage the community in creating the County Strategic Homeless Plan, as well as identify a funding stream to turn this Plan to prevent and end homelessness into action.
For the 25th year, NBC4 Southern California Weathercaster Fritz Coleman will be our Master of Ceremonies.
According to the latest homeless count, there are 47,000 persons who are homeless each night in Los Angeles County—meaning they live in shelters, the streets or their vehicles. Shelter Partnership plays a critical role in the Los Angeles community by collaboratively solving homelessness through policy analysis, program and resource development, and advocacy. Since the inception of Shelter Partnership’s award-winning S. Mark Taper Foundation Shelter Resource Bank, $235 million worth of new, high- priority goods have been secured for free distribution through over 600 agencies countywide.
Proceeds from Shelter Partnership’s Annual Dinner are used to continue our work throughout the year. The Annual Dinner is our one and only fundraising event of the year, accounting for approximately 25% of the annual budget.
Table sponsors who confirm by March 3, 2017 will be listed in our event invitation. (All sponsors who confirm after this date will be listed in all other event and agency materials.)
You can also contribute a congratulatory ad in our Tribute Journal if you submit your ad by April 3rd. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (213) 943-4580 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
