Blackstone LaunchPad at UB is a campus-based entrepreneurship program with workshops, one-on-one venture coaching, and other support to help mentor students, staff, and alumni—regardless of major, experience, or degree program—in pursuit of creating and running successful businesses.

Calling all Girl Founders! She Started IT seeks to inspire girls 6th -10th grade to lead in computing, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Buffalo & Erie County Public Library

She Started IT is a free event to encourage 6th-10th grade girls to explore and be inspired by the field of technology, giving them the opportunity to hear from, interact with and be encouraged by female founders and professionals in Buffalo, NY. <a href="https://www.shestarteditfilm.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">She Started IT</a> is based on the acclaimed documentary, spotlighting five female entrepreneurs pursuing their dreams in the Tech industry. Schedule of Events:<ul><li>10 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.: Introduction + Welcome</li><li>10:15 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.: Video clip from She Started IT and discussion with female founders</li><li>10:30 a.m. – 10:45 : Creative problem solving exercise</li><li>10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. : Stage presence workshop</li><li>11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. : Develop your tech idea with a group!</li><li>12:30 – 1 p.m.: Lunch and facilitated discussion with female professionals in the tech industry</li><li>1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Interactive demos &amp; experiences</li></ul>This event provides young girls the opportunity to:<ul><li>Explore opportunities in computing and technology sectors through hands-on activities </li><li>Grow your network with other girls interested in IT</li><li>Engage with WNY Female Founders in Tech</li></ul>Chaperones provided by event organizers.
