Participants will embark on a journey to uncover the origins and evolution of stereotypes surrounding Black women. Through insightful discussions and personal reflections, we will explore the profound emotional, psychological, and social repercussions these stereotypes have on the lives of Black women. By the end of the first portion of the workshop, therapists will gain valuable insights into how to support their clients in navigating and challenging these harmful narratives.

The second part of the workshop focuses on empowering Black women and fostering resilience in the face of stereotypes. Through an exploration of intersectionality, strengths-based approaches, and practical tools for empowerment, therapists will learn how to cultivate change and promote positive narratives surrounding Black womanhood. Participants will leave feeling equipped with the knowledge and resources to support their clients in reclaiming their voices and rewriting their stories.
