"What looks like a people problem is often a situation problem."
(Chip and Dan Heath)
Change efforts always require some level of behavior change. But when people don't do what we want them to do, we too often focus on addressing what's wrong with THEM. (Sigh.) Yet, sometimes, all that is needed is a small change in their environment. In other words, if we change their situation, the desired behavior may follow along without any additional intervention. Easy, peasy! Or at least easier, peasier. :-)
That's the focus in the third part of the Project TBD mini-series on a Human-Centered Approach to Change. We'll explore the final part of the Heath brothers' Switch framework called "Shaping the Path." We'll look at how we can make use of choice architecture, habit stacking, and social cues to influence behavior.
Don't miss the opportunity to collide and connect with other curious-minded people eager to put Human-Centered Design at the forefront of driving change.
We hope you'll make plans to join us in person or via Zoom.
