This Learn and Burn event is an educational, hands-on experience where participants gain usefull knowledge about prescribed fire. Led by Certified Prescribed Fire professionals from different professional groups like Tall Timbers, Alabama Forestry Commission, US Forest Service, etc. This event covers fire behavior, safety protocols, burn planning, and ecological benefits. Attendees actively participate in setting and managing a prescribed burn, making it an excellent opportunity for landowners, conservationists, students, the public and firefighters to build skills in prescribed fire management and land stewardship.
Updates will be sent 2-3 days in advance for registrants on the specific day we will burn.
We as prescribed fire professionals use a range of dates to specify the weather on a week time frame when we host events like these, so I will keep everyone updated.
