Arts Warehouse

Join installation and sculpture artist Jeanne Jaffe, currently exhibiting in the Front Room Gallery at Arts Warehouse, for a workshop exploring Shadow Puppets. 
Workshop attendees will learn the history of shadow puppetry, how it's used in contemporary art, and how to make & manipulate paper puppets. You will go home with a puppet and the skills to create your own!
All materials will be provided!
This class is for ages 18+
Jeanne Jaffe is a multi-disciplinary artist who is Professor Emeritus in Multi-disciplinary Fine Arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, a visiting artist/professor at Xian Academy of Fine Arts in China each fall and the coordinator of International Projects at the Jaffe Center for Book Arts. Ms. Jaffe is the recipient of fellowship grants from the Gottlieb Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Mid Atlantic/NEA, Mino Artist Residency in Japan, the Leeway Foundation and the Virginia A. Groot Foundation among many others. Works by Ms. Jaffe were reviewed in Art in America, Sculpture Magazine, and exhibited bothnationally and internationally.
