About this event

  • 2 days 8 hours

This 3-day ONLINE workshop covers exam background including known CLARB grading standards that have been published; grading & drainage skills applicable to the LARE, interpretation and use of third party information, sedimentation and erosion control, and stormwater management. We are also finding that the national study groups that students form after the course are extremely valuable. Over 200 pages of material in PDF format is included, with reference text, 110 practice questions, and 43 advanced item type (AIT) problems with annotated solutions. This class is based on material developed by Ray Freeman over 20 years of exam preparation instruction.

The classes cover exam formats, tips and tricks, and feature programmed instruction focusing on developing the skills needed to solve every known type of technical task required on this section of the LARE. The format of the class is lecture, short tests, and question and answer in a Zoom classroom.

Frequently asked questions

What if I can't make this date?

We record every webinar and make it available to attendees through a password-protected Vimeo link. If you would like to use the recordings for all or part of the webinar, register as usual and you will receive the links after the weekend is over. Contact us if you want to register AFTER the event.

How are course materials delivered to attendees?

Once you have registered, go to the Eventbrite page and look for the 'Course Materials' link. It will take you to the course folder, where you'll find pdf copies of all the reading and exercises, plus additional reference materials we have found helpful.

What is your refund policy?

Course materials are shared upon registration, so we may choose to give a partial refund. We can be very flexible if you want to attend a later date as a transfer at no additional cost – just email us and let us know what’s going on.

What if I take your course and don’t pass my exam?

The LARE is a difficult exam that requires significant study time after the webinar is over. We help you structure that effort and connect you with study partners and resources. If you do not pass your exam, contact us to repeat the course at no cost.

I don't want people to know I am taking the LARE. Can I attend anonymously?

Yes, you can. Let us know when you register and we will not include you in the class study group list that is issued at the end of the weekend. You can choose how you participate in the Zoom room, or just use the recordings to prepare.
