Frequently asked questions

Who can volunteer?

Anyone over the age of 18 or with a guardian. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to work directly with the "shoppers" but can help with dress inventory.

Do I have to register with Eventbrite to volunteer?

So we have an adequate count of volunteers, everyone signing up to help must pre-register and select their volunteer timeslot. No need to print ticket, please show screen shot at check in!

What does a fairy godmother wear to volunteer?

A tiara of course, just kidding (unless you want to wear one!). Please dress in roomy/comfortable clothing and shoes. You will be asked to walk to and from inventory room, carry dresses, go through inventory.

Is parking paid for?

No, but there is plenty of street METERED parking; boutique is a few walking blocks from BART; MUNI and Ferry.

Are food/drinks allowed?

Food and drinks are not allowed in the dress giveaway area, but we have a small room for volunteers to take a break when needed. Please feel free to bring a bottled water and/or snacks; we respectfully ask that you keep these items in the back volunteer room.
