Calling all freaks and pervs--have you ever wanted to raise money to help s3x workers while also getting to enjoy a campy, silly horror movie? Look no further, YKES! and Decrim NY are here to bring you exactly that! Join us to watched beloved cult classic Frankenhooker while helping Decrim NY meet their fundraising goals.

Who: YKES! is an NYC-based queer/trans movie collective that showcases campy, fun sci-fi and horror films. Decrim NY is an org working to decriminalize, decarcerate and destigmatize the sex trades in NY state.

What: Together, we're hosting a film screening of Frankenhooker to raise money for Decrim's upcoming lobby day in Albany, where we'll be advocating for the passage of the Stop Violence in the Sex Trades Act, which would comprehensively decriminalize adult, consensual sex work in New York state. Woo! We will have a raffle, so bring cash! There will also be free on-site STI testing and resources from our friends at Project STAY

When: Wednesday May 8th. Doors open at 6:30pm, pre-show starts at 7pm.

Where: We have access to a lovely, large loft in Chinatown, near the Canal St J/Z/N/Q/6 trains. An exact address with entry instructions will be sent week-of. The building entrance, event space, and bathrooms are fully accessible and there is an elevator.

Extra deets: This event is mask mandatory--please bring your own mask and do a COVID test before you come. Stay home if you're feeling ill! BYO snacks and drinks (alcohol is allowed, please enjoy responsibly). There will be chairs and some sofas, but some folks will have to sit on the floor--bring blankets and pillows. If you have accessibility needs, please reach out to us and we will be happy to accomodate you! Please note, this is an 18+ event and there will be pornographic content in the pre-show.
